Welcome to the H & S Bowls Club website.

Formed in 1950, we play at the Blue Flames Sporting Club, Whitley Park Benton where there is ample all day free car parking on-site and Benton Metro station is but a short walk away.

We are passionate about bowls and offer opportunities for all to play either competitive bowls and/or casual bowls regardless of ability, age, gender, religion, ethnicity or impairment.

Whilst we have had considerable county success over the years and still have a few county level players, we now consider ourselves to be largely a recreational club where you and your family can enjoy bowling together and where you can make new friends and socialise.

That said we do still have a competitive edge and have teams that play in various leagues (see details under Leagues) on most days of the week.

We do not presently have a ladies only team but, unlike a number of clubs, our lady members are fully integrated into the club and where they wish to do so, enjoy the same game time as our men members.

New members are always welcome, so welcome that the bowls membership fees (value £25) for their first season will be waived !

Free coaching will be available and we have a number of sets of bowls to try. All you need is footwear without a heel and you’re sorted.
